The Weeknd, Katy Perry, and Jay Z are the top-selling artists in the U.S. Billboard on Wednesday reported a record-breaking month for new songs and albums, but a new album is still a long way off.
On the charts, “Love Story” by Katy Perry is No. 1, followed by “Livin’,” “Stronger” by Jay Z, “Hymn for the Weekend” by The Week, and “Somewhere In Time” by Kylie Minogue.
Billboard said that the songs “Strong” and “Harmony” had more than 100 million digital downloads.
“Songs of Innocence” by Rihanna is No 1 on the Hot 100, followed closely by “The Hills” by Justin Bieber and “Party In The USA” by Drake.
Billboard also said the “Love Song” album was the top selling album of the year.
Billboard is tracking sales of new songs, albums, and videos through Oct. 3.
